I have updated my OSX 10.8.5 and my printer has stopped to work. Then I deleted the printer and tried to install it as found in a older thread here in the forum.

Go to System Settings / Printers and Scanners and reinstall your printer selecting Canon LBP2900 (CAPTuk) driver from the drivers list
Via xhci host controller driver for mac. You should now have a working printer.
